Start-Up Academy opened in Taldykorgan
Youth will get assistance at all stages of business projects
Start-Up Academy appeared on the basis of Zhetysu State University (ZhSU) named after Ilyas Zhansugurov. A corresponding memorandum was signed between the Damu Foundation and ZhSU.
According to Gabit Lesbekov, Managing Director and Member of the Board of the Damu Foundation, this is the fifth "Start-Up Academy in Kazakhstan.
"Such cooperation allows us to provide comprehensive free support to budding entrepreneurs from the stage of a business idea to entering the market. That is, it's not just about consulting and information support, but also about attracting investors, assistance in applying for participation in the fund's financial programs or receiving state grants", - Gabit Lesbakov said.
The Start-Up Academy will support young people at all stages of development of their entrepreneurial initiatives: from the development of the idea and to its commercialization.
Representatives of the business community noted that this initiative is very important for supporting the development of youth entrepreneurship.
"Start-Up Academy is another platform for active and enterprising youth. Using all the tools, we should in every way help in the development of a demanded and competitive product. Since, in the future, the project should interest the investor. In such conditions, young people and start-up entrepreneurs will have a desire for business opening and trust in development institutions", - Lazzat Chinkisbaeva, director of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Almaty region, said.
The young businessman, a graduate of the university Ardan Rataev, also wished success to start-ups. He is the owner of the grant "Build Your Own Business" from the "Sabi" Foundation. He opened his business using the received money and is now engaged in its expansion.
"It is important to have an idea and a great desire to implement it. If a person does not have a desire and interest in this matter, then each of his steps will fail. By my example, I want to say that to implement any initiative you need to work hard and improve yourself", - the entrepreneur said.
As the organizers explained, the Academy will conduct trainings and seminars, search, selection and development of start-up projects, as well as organization of mentoring, expert support, competitions.
During the event, an exhibition of innovative projects of young scientists, budding entrepreneurs and students was organized. Among the works presented are the development of multi-rotor flying machines, the automatic watering system of indoor plants, the virtual university guide, and the electron microscope.
Similar Start-Up Academy was launched in Astana, Almaty, Atyrau and Pavlodar.
