The Russian university wants to train specialists for Kazakh enterprises

With this intention, the representatives of the Ural State Agro-Industrial University met on the site of the Regional Chamber of Entrepreneurs with the heads of peasant and farm economies in the region. The parties discussed the opportunities for cooperation in the training of personnel for the agro-industrial sector of the Almaty region. According to Tatyana Semenova, the head of the teaching and methodical department of the university, the university offers full-time and correspondence courses for Zhetysu entrepreneurs and workers. "Our task is to train good specialists for your enterprises, to exclude the outflow of literate specialists from the region. The Almaty region was one of the first to respond to our proposal. We intend to implement this educational project also in Kostanay and Karaganda regions. “A total of 700 students are trained from the countries of Asia and Africa", - said Semenova. Ural University offers applicants to study at the faculties of transport-technological machines and services, agricultural technologies and land management, veterinary medicine and expertise, as well as engineering and technology faculty. In addition, USAIU has an Agrarian college. Those who wish can apply to the regional branch of the Union of Farmers of Kazakhstan or directly apply to the Russian university. For foreign students there is a special exam in the format of the USE. "With a successful passing of the exam, Kazakh students can apply on a budgetary basis. Payment for education is about 200 thousand tenge. Choosing a distance form of training, the specialist will be trained without detaching himself from the main activity. But, once a year the student will need to come to the session. And the production practice will take place both in the region and abroad", - said Tatiana Semenova. Representatives of the agricultural business noted that the training of the staff of the agro-industrial complex remains an urgent issue for the entire industry.

For example, today in Almaty oblast there is a shortage of specialists for horticultural facilities, veterinary service. "At present it is very difficult to attract the staff of the agro-industrial complex. Therefore, it is important for us that the students return to their homeland and work for the benefit of the region and the country as a whole", - said Almagul Ongarbayeva, head of the Human Capital Development Department of RCE of Almaty region. At the end of the meeting a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the USAIU, the Regional Branch of the Association of Russian, Slavic and Cossack Organizations of Kazakhstan, the regional branch of the Union of Farmers of Kazakhstan. USAIU has a 77-year history and is located in the city of Yekaterinburg. In 2015, according to the results of the National Rating of Higher Educational Institutions of Russia, it took 3rd place among 56 agricultural universities.
